Position Description and Responsibilities

The City Tour Guide (CTG) is an important role on our country team. You provide guide, support and specialty services to our clients as part of one or more of our service offerings.  The role is very flexible and does allow you to take advantage of some travel industry benefits. 
The CTG works in one or more of the following areas:
- City Tours : Accompanying clients on short city tours. You will highlight the main points of the tour, serve as the group leader, and ensure safe travel to and from the tour site. 
- Assistant to City Travel Advisor (CTA): You provide logistical and execution support to the resident CTA, helping develop tours, contact providers and suggest options to enhance our service and value.
- Tour, location and provider review: At company and CTA request, conducting reviews of areas of interest to the business. 

Where a CTA is present, you will partner with him or her to deliver services to clients.  You will interact with various expat and diplomat clients and organizations as well as commercial, government and local residents. We make every attempt to provide continued employment regardless of your new global location.

The company provides all website operations and management, all financial transaction systems, most documents and templates. We also provide a staff resource forum and website for use in learning, discussing and communicating with fellow staff around the world.

This position directly supports the nearest City Travel Advisor, or as defined during hire.

Requirements



General: This position is home-based and requires no office visits. Travel is local, regional or in conjunction with your own personal trips. You will legally report to the US office of the company in Arlington, Virginia. Interaction with the US office, and all other global staff is generally done online and via phone or video conference. Specialized training and support is provided where necessary. All transactions are done in US$ via US bank accounts. As an independent contractor, you assume responsibility for all personal taxes.  You may need to obtain appropriate approvals to work in some countries, or from the employer of your spouse.

We Prefer People with Skills in: Providing guided tours, visiting attractions with friends & family, researching cultural and local information. Outgoing and personable. Solid organizational skills. Global travel exposure. Local language familiarity or fluency (written or spoken).
You Need Strong Skills in: Speaking, writing and reading English, Email Communication, Internet Usage, Writing and Reading English, Managing multiple projects, Interpersonal interaction.
Infrastructure Required: Reliable Internet Connection/access. Skype/VoIP system. Local mobile telephone with texting capabilities.

Position Description and Responsibilities

The City Travel Advisor (CTA) is a key member of our team. She/He will assume primary responsibility for developing, managing and growing all leisure travel related services in the city. 
The CTA has three main areas of responsibility:
- Website Content : Editing and reviewing online content for relevancy and usefullness to our clientele and members
- Tours & Travel Services : Exploring, Developing, Identifying and Arranging tour and travel activities for our clientele and members
- Travel Support: Monitoring and assisting with reservations, in-process travel and post-travel needs

You will partner with local travel service providers and tour operators, as well as hire Tour Guides on an as-needed basis.  You will interact with various expat and diplomat organizations,  missions and employers as you promote the business. You will either start up a new location, or take over an existing position. Compensation is adjusted for these two options.   Upon moving to a new location, we have a payment structure to provide partial support as you transition. We make every attempt to provide continued employment regardless of your new global location.

Need Strong Skills in: Email Communication, Internet Usage, Writing and Reading English, Personal interaction, Online travel reservations and own travel research.
Great to have skills in: Use of Skype/VoIP, Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint. Basic understanding of business principles such as marketing, pricing and operating processes.

Position Description and Responsibilities

The Partner Manager is responsible for setting the strategy, defining the standards and coordinating a worldwide aggregation of quality partnerships for the customer facing side of our business.

The Partner manager will use a strategic framework to solicit, evaluate, qualify, engage and manage a range of providers in cities around the world where we have a web or physical presence. Partner providers range from online services, tour operators, travel suppliers and personal service entities to language schools and restaurants.

The candidate will initially perform most aspects of partner management to ensure familiarity, transitioning to staff as load and budget dictate. The Partner manager will continuously evaluate the staffing needs for his/her area and work with the management to appropriately resource the function.

This position is a management position reporting directly to the CEO.

Requirements
